Superlative mechanical rigidity has been attained by directly coupling the reducer with the output axis.
The adoption of the digital servo system has resulted in high-speed movement, shorter positioning time and improved path accuracy.
The incorporation of the fully electronic absolute detection system has eliminated the need for zero return operations after power on. The robot can therefore be started automatically even in work areas where it has a restricted range of movement.
The ARC Mate features a totally maintenance-free structure.
- The AC servo motor is entirely brushless, so brush-related maintenance requirements are eliminated.
- By directly coupling the reducer, it has been possible to eliminate intermediate gears, belts and chains which normally require maintenance.
- A unique rotary-axis cable treatment method ( patent pending ) has been adopted which dramatically extends the service life of the cables.
