Sheet metal transfer ROBOT for press line automation
It has a unique axis configuration that is ideal for manipulating workpieces between presses. ( It is mounted on a rack or suspended from the ceiling and operates like a pendulum .) The arm of the M-500 is 2200mm long. A single robot can transfer workpieces from one press to another. FANUC engineers have developed the mechanical unit based on the design concepts of the FANUC Robot series, which feature high reliability and maintainability.
The mechanical unit is controlled by a novel 32-bit robot controller. The robot enables existing press lines to function as transfer lines. It also assists in the construction of new automated press lines.
The M-500 is a 4-axis articulated robot with a payload capacity of 60kg.

The robot has a fully electronic absolute position detection system.
