Together with the newly developed FANUC SYSTEM R-MODEL G2 controller featuring digital servo, the S-600 can make a significant contribution to Factory Automation today and on into the future.
A high-rigidity mechanical structure has been achieved through the use of carefully selected mechanical components and an extremely precise reducer system. It results in suplative +/-0.2 mm repeatability under a wide variety of operating conditions.
The largest range of movement in this class has been secured by coupling the ruggedly built, high-precision rotary reducer directly coupled to the arm drive modules.
To permit full use of the robot's expansive operating range, the S-600 can be freely installed on the floor, on a wall or on the ceiling.
The robot's cables and motor components are completely contained within the mechanical structure. This results in a smooth exterior free from problems relating to interference with wiring or cables leading to peripheral equipment or end effectors.
The robot is structured forminimum interference in the rear direction outside the robot's range of movements. Rear interference is only 450mm, despite the robot's large operating area.
The motors do not extend outward on either side of the robot. Peripherals can therefore be installed directly next to the robot for maximum efficiency in space usage.
The S-600 is the first robot in this class to be equipped with a fully electronic absolute positioning system. This eliminates the need for zero return operations after power on and enables automatic starts even in work areas where the robot's operating space is restricted.
